Selling from the UK into Ireland and the EU
Your products haven’t changed since Brexit, but the rules for selling them into Europe have. We check the documents you already have, fix what’s missing, and get your files EU-ready before your first shipment.
- UKCA isn’t valid in the EU: you need CE marking and an EU Declaration of Conformity
- For most products, someone established in the EU must be named on the product and hold your documents
- Since 12 August 2026, EU packaging needs its own documents, plus producer registration in each country
- Marketplaces are checking, and missing safety and contact details can get listings suppressed
Same product. Different rules.
The UK still accepts the CE mark for most products, but the EU does not accept UKCA. And EU law expects someone based in the EU to stand behind what you sell. A UK address on the label is not enough.
Ireland is the natural first step. It is English-speaking, a short trip from the UK, and fully inside the EU single market, so getting it right in Ireland gives you the documentation to sell across the EU. But Ireland applies EU product law in full: being next door doesn’t mean UK rules apply.
How we help
EU Readiness Check
We review your existing UK documents and test reports product by product, map the EU roles you need to fill, and give you a red/amber/green report with a fix list.
EU Compliance Pack
EU Declaration of Conformity, technical file, product risk assessment, and corrected labels and manuals, per product family. A file you own.
Packaging Pack
Packaging inventory, technical documentation and the EU packaging Declaration of Conformity.
Ongoing support
New product checks, rule changes and marketplace queries, on a simple monthly retainer.
Representation through trusted partners
We don’t act as your EU representative ourselves, which keeps our review independent. We introduce you to an established EU partner and hand over accurate product and packaging data so registration is right first time.
Selling into Northern Ireland?
Under the Windsor Framework, Northern Ireland follows EU product rules. CE marking applies there, and the EU General Product Safety Regulation applies to consumer goods sold there, not the UK’s own regime. If you supply retailers or customers in Northern Ireland from Great Britain, your products may need to meet EU requirements too. We can check.
